Welcome to the Outpost Chess 1vs1 , a unique feature designed for friendly and competitive chess matches. By participating in the 1vs1 feature, you agree to abide by the following terms and rules. This feature is designed to offer an enjoyable and fair experience for all users. Please read these terms carefully before participating in any matches.
Matches consist of 2 or more rounds. A round is defined as one game of chess.The first player to reach 2 points is declared the winner of the match.Players can choose from the following time controls, which have no increment: 3+0, 5+0, 10+0, 30+0.Both players must agree on the selected time control before the match begins.The game starts once both players make their first move, initiating the chess clock.The clock continues to run until the game concludes.If one player enters the 1vs1 area, an abort timer of 3 minutes starts.If the abort time elapses in the first round without both players being present, the match is annulled.If the abort time elapses in the second round or any subsequent rounds after both players were present in the first round, the player whose abort time runs out loses the entire match.Draws (1/2 points) are calculated as 0 points for the purpose of determining the match winner.The interval between games within a match is 10 seconds.After 10 seconds, the abort time countdown of 3 minutes begins, first for the player with the white pieces, then for the player with the black pieces.Matches are played in the 1vs1 arena, where players can see their opponents through a camera.Players are encouraged to challenge friends they trust and ensure their profiles are verified to prevent cheating.Players have the option to play friendly matches without money or competitive matches involving money.Both players must agree on whether the match will involve money before it begins.Outpost does not take a commission for 1vs1 games.
