It's June 1. Whatever you did in May is in the rearview. The leaderboard is wiped, the clock is reset, and for the next 7 days everyone starts from zero.
That includes the 1700-rated dad who plays on his lunch break, the 1200-rated teenager up at 2am, the comeback player who hasn't logged in since February, and you.
The rule for this week is the same as always and we mean as simple as it sounds: every 1vs1 game you finish on Outpost = 1 point on the Weekly Challenge Leaderboard. Win it, lose it, draw it, blunder mate-in-2 from a winning position (we've all been there) doesn't matter. Just finish the game. Points stack.
Top 3 walk away with unlimited AI Coach + unlimited AI Puzzles for up to a full month. The prize most subscribers pay €4 for, this week handed to whoever showed up the most.

⚔️ The Rules
- Every game counts as 1 point. Win, lose, draw, it doesn't matter. We're rewarding consistency, not just talent.
- Every 1vs1 game counts. Friendly matches against real people and matches with AI bots (not regular bots).
- Max 10 games against the same opponent per week. No farming your roommate.
- Fair play only. Our system automatically detects and removes engine users. Don't be that person.
- Leaderboard is live. Watch your name climb in real time.
🔥 The Math Nobody Talks About
5 short games a day × 7 days = 35 games. That's usually enough to land top 10 on the Weekly Challenge Leaderboard, sometimes top 3 if it's a quiet week.
35 games sounds like a lot. It's not. Five 3-minute blitz games is 15 minutes. Less than your morning coffee scroll. Less than a single commute. Less than one episode of whatever you're half-watching at night.
Even if you don't podium, here's what 35 games gets you:
- ~5 hours of real opening practice against real opponents
- A statistically meaningful sample of your own blunder patterns (which is what the AI Coach was built to spot)
- The kind of frequency that actually shifts ratings (binge-playing once a week doesn't, daily reps do)
The Leaderboard is the lowest-pressure way to turn "I should play more" into "I played more." That's it. That's the trick.

❓ FAQ
Do I need to win to score points? No. Every finished 1vs1 game = 1 point on the leaderboard, win or lose.
What time control should I play? Whatever you enjoy but Blitz and Bullet give you the most games per hour, which means the most points.
Do I need a subscription to enter? No. The challenge is free to enter for every Outposter. The subscription is the prize.
When do I get my prize if I win? Within 24 hours after the leaderboard closes Sunday night. We'll DM you directly via the app.
Can I play on mobile? Yes. iOS, Android, and web all count. Your games sync to the same Leaderboard.
What happens after June 7? The leaderboard resets. New week, new challenge, new chance. Keep an eye on the blog.
