In this newly starting series of posts, I'd like to share my most cherished chess games with you. As I contemplated this blog, an important question arose within me: can a chess game be memorable to me due to its quality, or is it the personal significance that truly matters? In the latter case, I will attempt to season my analyses with personal stories, related anecdotes, and circumstances, hoping to convey the excitement of the given situations to you, the readers.

However, for the first game, I have chosen it primarily for its quality rather than its personal significance. I believe it to be one of the most beautifully played games of my life, featuring fireworks in several places. I think it's games like these that make playing chess truly worthwhile.

I played this game in the spring of 2023, in the second division of the Hungarian Team Championship. On paper, I was the favorite in terms of rating, but my opponent was an extremely talented young player, and at their age, ratings can change daily. Therefore, I took the game very seriously, prepared for the fact that it wouldn't be an easy match. Let's take a look at the game, which I hope you will find as much joy in as I did!

An analysis of the game is available at the following link.
